Little Bat Ban
Little league is a baseball organization for ages 5 -18.Recently they have put a ban on composite bats.They have banned these bats because the ball comes off the bat faster than it should.This has injured many kids.However this has not affected me because I play travel ball.Check it out

Great post and link. Some of the comments on that article were pretty interesting. For example, they said that the reason Little League switched to aluminum bats is the cost. That may be true, but in my experience some of the new bats have such thin-walled barrels that they break and crack quite easily. In college, we had a few bats that were "gamers," because using them in batting practice more than a few times would leave them cracked and useless.
