Type of government that H.O.T.S has
In the novel "House of the Scorpion" by Nancy Farmer,, Nancy farmer is trying to say that the type of government is socialism. I think this because it talks about El Patron ruling Opium, but they also talk about thm rulin themselves. For example, "Wich we call individualism," (Farmer 274) Raul says this because everybody rules themselves but theres is a ruler as well that tells them what to do (democracy). This is what i think the type government the story has

I agree with you about this post. I as well think it is socialism and you use a good example for it as well.
ReplyDeletei disagree... but good thought:) I think that in the book, Atzlan has socialism and Opium doesnt... cuz in Atzlan everything is "hard but fair" and everything is divided fairly based on how much work gets done...
